Concealer Makeup

Concealer is one of the best magic helpers for many makeup professionals to cover up your dark circles, pimples, uneven skin tone and many other imperfections. Unluckily, without knowing the proper way to apply concealer can make you look even weirder.

First you should choose the right concealer for yourself. Basically, you need a concealer that is similar to your skin tone so that it looks natural. You can choose among, pencil, liquid, stick and cream. Pencil is great if you wish to cover up your pimples as you can accurately dot the pencil onto your pimples. Liquid is good for dry skin. Stick is easy to use with brushes and less messy. Cream is the most common ones. Liquid or solid concealer should be applied after the foundation while the cream one should be applied before the foundation.

You may wish to add different color of eye shadow to the concealer to personalize the best concealer for yourself. Adding yellow eye shadow helps to cover up the dark circles; adding green eye shadow helps to cover up red spots or pimples and adding purple eye shadow helps to alleviate the yellowish skin tone.

It is very different for you to apply concealer and foundation. You should use the least concealer as possible. Use your finger, sponge, or a brush to dot the concealer a little bit every time onto your dark circles, pimples or whatever. Wait for a while to see if the concealer covers your imperfection well before applying another dot.

Some of the areas like inner corners of nose, corner of moth and outer corner of eyes require special attention when applying concealer. These areas are very likely to have uneven skin tone like reddish though there are no pimples there. If you just cover up your pimples but not these areas, you are never going to be a professional! By the way, try out other tools like fake eyelashes and eye shadow, you may be surprised how attraction you can look!
