Cutting your daily caloric intake is definitely the first step, and doing exercise is also important. Don’t eat too few of calories though. That will actually have the adverse affect because your body will think it is starving. It will kick into survival mode and it will hold onto all of the fat because it isn’t getting enough food.

You need to eliminate any foods that are high in calories, which includes the stuff you drink. Fast food is obviously bad, but your Starbucks drink, and especially alcohol will all hinder your weight loss. Instead, drink more water throughout the day. Your body holds onto water when it doesn’t have get water. But, if you are drinking water all day, your body knows it’ll be replaced so it exits your body. Also, eating more often, like six meals throughout the day, keeps your metabolism going. This helps you to burn more calories throughout the day.

You also need to do as much exercise in that week as you can without hurting yourself. Even stuff like talking a fast walk can help you to start burning even more calories. Weight lifting and strength training, and any type of personal fitness, are also important because building muscle helps you to burn fat off.
