You may not, at first, think of the sports bag as a fashionable item. You may not realize that every time you step outside your door to go to the gym, carrying that ugly plastic grocery bag full of clean clothes and water bottles that you are causing yourself harm and others around you harm. Don’t become travesties of the fitness fashion world; make sure you use an adequate sports bag when you head out to the gym. Looking good on your way to the gym is the first step towards looking good coming out of the gym.
There are three main types of sports bags that you can get away with bringing to the gym. Those are: the duffle bag, the backpack, and the canvas bag. Each of these three sports bags are large enough to carry all of your gym accessories (like a change of clothes, your purse, cellphone, car keys, and water bottle) while still giving you enough of a fashionable look to get by. We’re not talking high fashion here. After all, you’re going to the gym to get sweaty and lose weight. You’re not going there necessarily to look good.
The duffle bag and canvas bag are on the highest end of the fashion food chain. Leather duffle bags are mainly luggage items that you would take on an airplane as a cute carry-on but they offer a wide range of functions and style that the other sports bags just don’t have. Duffle bags often have wheels (because who really wants to lug a bag to the gym before exercise?) and handles that make it easier to carry.
Backpacks are more on the practical side of the spectrum because they aren’t necessarily good looking but will allow you to fit in. Most backpacks will have enough space to carry everything you need and you can sling them on your back as if going to class. The nice thing about a backpack is you will look sophisticated as well as fit.
Remember, the better you look in the mirror to yourself the better you will feel about exercise. Keeping in proper gym and fitness fashion is an essential part of establishing a great workout regimen. Choosing a good looking sports bag will put you on the right track towards getting the body you have always dreamed of. When you like the way you look you will feel better and exercise more.
