Kits For Tooth Bleaching – What Kinds Exist?

With today’s appearance obsessed culture, we have people all around us taking care of their looks. We all want to be slim and have lots of hair on our head. We don’t want any wrinkles and we certainly don’t want any yellow teeth. I happen to know a thing or two about tooth bleaching, so I will give you an overview of the available products to achieve this.

1. Pens. With these so called whitening pens, you can have a whiter smile in less than a minute or two. The solution in these pens can be applied to your teeth and they will stick. The duration is only temporary. This is a quick fix that you should save for a special occasion.

2. Toothpastes. Whitening toothpastes can be bought in every single super market near you these days. Whitening pastes do not work as well as other products, but you can still get small results from them. You’ll have to make sure you brush your teeth with your new whitening toothpaste every day in order to see results.

3. Whitening mouthwashes. If you are not satisfied with the results you get from using whitening toothpastes, then perhaps you ought to try to complement the toothpaste with a mouthwash. These mouthwashes will get you only very little additional results, but at least they do a great job at refreshing your mouth.

4. Hydrogen peroxide trays. The so called tray based teeth whitening kits come with a whitening gel that is based on hydrogen peroxide. This is a powerful chemical that has been proven to effectively bleach teeth in a safe way and in only very little time. You put the gel in trays and wear those in your mouth.

5. Whitening strip kits. If you want to use a whitening kit but don’t want any hassle with trays, you can opt for a strip system. The strips will have the hydrogen peroxide chemical on them and you wear the strips at your convenience. Only twice per day for half an hour will significantly whiten your teeth in less than a week.

6. Baking soda & hydrogen peroxide. You can use baking soda and a low concentration hydrogen peroxide to create your own whitening toothpaste at home. It costs almost nothing to make this and it is also very safe if you do it right. The results from this are better than you’d think.

These options are pretty much what is available to you if you are considering whitening your teeth. How much results you want and how much you are willing to spend on it, is entirely up to you. When in doubt, start out with the simpler, low cost products. You can always move up to the heavy duty stuff later on.
