Perfume Review: Lovely Blossom by Armand Basi For Women

The opening of Lovely Blossom is a mix of florals and fruits with a sweet and distinct vanilla, which reminds of Tresor by Lancome. In the middle phase, many of the fruity notes of the beginning are still there, but the balance leans more towards florals, with orange blossom and jasmine. After two hours, the fruits are even more in the background, and notes of amber and dry wood add to the florals, in which, at a more advanced stage, a classic and dense rose dominates. At this point there is also a comeback of the fruity notes with cherries and blackberries, which blend well with the rose. In the final phase, the perfume is still very intense, with a dominant layer of florals that seems to be a mix of orange blossom, damascus flower, tuberose, rose, and a soapy jasmine (it reminds of the final phase of Carolina Herrera 212). There is also creamy amber that integrates with the florals and the occasional spicy cinnamon that tingles the nose.

The perfume takes ingredients of classic feminine perfumery and combines them in a modern way (like 1 Million Paco Rabanne did on the masculine side), getting rid of the dense and oily notes that were commonly used before the nineties. The intensity is well balanced for a daily use and for a woman who takes care of her image, regardless of the situation. In the office it will have the professional and clean style of the eighties and nineties, without feeling out of date, with maybe the only problem of being too intrusive if over-sprayed. On the romantic side, the old style perfumery notes will be seducing, and for a night use, the fragrance will be more informal for women from 20 to 35, and more formal as age goes up (the perfume will be suitable up to the age of 60).
